Premier Residential Psychological Services
Florida Oasis Residential Mental Health helps people who realize their mental health has become an obstacle in their lives and need immediate, all inclusive solutions. Our comprehensive treatment approach and residential setting is ideal for individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, bi-polar disorder and intermittent psychotic episodes. Our highly qualified team of medical professionals are dedicated to understanding all unique situations and are passionate about providing life changing guidance and support.
IMPORTANT WARNING: When you are seeking mental health care, please beware of facilities that advertise “dual diagnosis treatment.” Our clients have repeatedly reported to us that these programs treat substance abuse primarily and are passive in their approach to mental health.
Also known as psychotherapy, talk therapy, or counseling, is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health professional in a safe environment. Florida Oasis Residential Mental Health offers our residential clients individual counseling sessions twice per week. This is double the amount of sessions offered at most residential treatment facilities.
Group therapy helps people improve their communication and socialization skills. In this collaborative atmosphere, under the supervision of a trained clinician, clients learn how to express themselves and take advice from a collective group.
Clients receive a thorough psychiatric evaluation of presenting mental health symptoms which contribute to an underlying diagnosis.
Medication management is an individualized strategy for modifying medication to optimize the client’s well being.
Physician services include screening and treatment of acute medical conditions.
Case management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual’s comprehensive mental health needs.
Also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of psychotherapy that helps people heal from symptoms of emotional distress and trauma.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative thoughts have a detrimental influence on mood.
Through CBT, these thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a modified type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven't been effective. This treatment for depression involves delivering repetitive magnetic pulses, so it's called repetitive TMS or rTMS. Florida Oasis Residential Mental Health provides screening and referral for these services while the client receives mental health treatment concurrently in our residential setting.
Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a procedure used to treat severe depression. It may be used in people who have symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts. It's also used when other treatments such as psychotherapy and antidepressant medicines have not worked. And it can be used for other psychiatric and neurological conditions, such as schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease. Florida Oasis Residential Mental Health provides screening and referral for these services while the client receives mental health treatment concurrently in our residential setting.
Ketamine has been used for decades as a surgical anesthetic and pain reliever. Ketamine acts on the NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptors and stimulates glutamate activity. Glutamate is a neurotransmitter that is key to regulating mood. Ketamine works quickly to effectively treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidal ideation, and various chronic pain issues that are resistant to traditional treatments. Florida Oasis Residential Mental Health provides referral and collaboration with specialty providers of these services. Our treatment team works cooperatively with these providers while the client receives mental health treatment concurrently in our residential setting.

Full Concierge Services
Florida Oasis provides full concierge services to our clients. Instead of one individual assisting you in navigating your recovery journey, a full multidisciplinary team composed of administration, physicians, therapists, nurses and behavioral health technicians provide constant daily feedback amongst each other to make your treatment as individualized as possible.
How is this achieved?
Each employee at the Florida Oasis interacts with you and in so doing communicates daily progress to our multidisciplinary team. Daily functioning is monitored, and a path to recovery is navigated by carefully and consistently responding to your concerns, adjusting medications based on their efficiency/side effects, reviewing clinically relevant outcome measures, customization of your treatment plan to ensure it advances as we learn more about you, and an ever-evolving group schedule that is designed to meet the needs of the small client population we serve.
We believe that clients with complex mental health challenges deserve treatment that is targeted yet flexible enough to change depending on your response. Your response to treatment determines how well you progress while you are receiving our care. Your providers agility in personalizing interventions to meet this response greatly increases your goals of reducing symptoms and gaining stability.
